502 Too many connections

I have used Binary Boy for years without a problem. Starting several months ago, I started getting "502 Too many connections" even when only using one connection. It is intermittent, but may persist for days and affects the NYC and PHX servers.

Connected to nyc.binaryboy.com (69.16.185.250).

The next time this happens, you could check to see how many connections are actually open. Go to the Start button and enter cmd.exe and then type netstat.exe -n

Count how many connections to port 119 are in the open state. If there are a lot open, please let me know.

Also make sure you're running a recent build from http://www.binaryboy.com/patch.php and check the "Download extended headers" option on the Newsgroups tab in the Settings.

Netstat -aon shows no connections for port 119.

I am running build 568.

Download extended headers was/is checked.

Wireshark shows my auth info, and right after my password, I get 502 Too many connections.

Thanks

Please send your username to support at binaryboy dot com and I'll pass this info onto my provider because it sounds like the problem is on the server. If you know your IP address, you can send that as well. If you don't know it, you can get it at http://www.ipchicken.com/
