This window allows you to modify settings for a specific group list.
Server - The news server address to connect to. If this field is blank, Binary Boy will use the server from the main settings.
Port - The server port. The standard news port is 119. If this field is blank or 0, Binary Boy will use the port from the main settings.
Username - Your username on the news server. Leave this blank if no username is required.
Password - Your password on the news server. Leave this blank if no password is required.
Search - A search string that applies to all newsgroups in this list. Any article whose subject matches this rule will be downloaded unless a filter rule blocks it. See Search Strings for further information.
Filter - A filter rule that applies to all newsgroups in this list. Articles whose subject matches this rule will NOT be downloaded even if a search string matches. See Search Strings for further information.
Folder - The folder where Binary Boy should store downloaded files from all newsgroups in this list. Leave this blank to use the folder from the main settings. Click the browse button to find a folder. This field can accept predefined variables for special folders
Create subfolders for newsgroups - Creates a subfolder for each group using the newsgroup name.
Chain To - The name of another group list to search after this one. This is handy for searching multiple servers. Create a group list for each server. Chain the first to the second, second to third, etc... Run a search on the first one in auto mode and Binary Boy will automatically search each list in the chain.
